CHIVALRY DELIVERY

Plaion / Kingdom Come: Deliverance II

Chivalry Delivery is a three part mockumentary series we created to support the launch of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. Rather than taking the typical feature-focused promo route, we pitched a different idea to publisher Plaion: send two medieval Knights into the real world and follow their increasingly misguided attempts to bring back chivalry.

The series documents their noble quest through awkward public encounters, getting to grips with modern trends and ends with our heroes bumbling in to the KCDII London marketing offices to offer their very unsolicited guidance.

We developed the concept, pitched it to Plaion, and after getting the green light, scripted and produced the whole thing with a skeleton crew. Stylistically, we took a heavy dose of inspiration from our favourite mockumentaries such as What We Do in the Shadows and The Office. It was a tight shoot, juggling big ideas within the budget, but the result was our most ambitious (and absurd) project to date.

Due to the cross-platform requirements, we needed to take care that every shot was composed for both 4:3 and 16:9. The episodes were initially released as paid promo content on TikTok and YouTube Shorts, with a full 4K supercut landing later on YouTube for maximum medieval glory.

Episode I

We follow our heroes as they proclaim their quest to bring chivalry back to the masses.

A portion of this episode was filmed among the general public, with our armour-clad boys attempting chivalrous deeds like helping elderly villagers cross the road and guarding a coffee shop entrance. One kind stranger even left his dog in their care while he did his post. That’s the power of plate armour.

Episode II

The quest continues as the Knight’s learn to use modern technology to aid their efforts.

Being as the script called for a room with a “bounty of technology”, we shot the majority of this episode using Adam’s streaming studio posing as the “kind villager’s” home.

Episode III

The quest concludes as the Knight’s head to our nation’s capital.

We shot at the offices of London gaming marketing agency Yrs Truly where the Knight’s blag their way in to a meeting. We had some very willing volunteers to participate playing themselves as bewildered employees to bring the story to a crescendo.
