DIE HARDWARE
Acer
Die Hardware was created as part of an interactive event experience for Acer, designed to kick off a gaming-themed challenge. The video set the stage for attendees to "take on the bad guys", a line up of gaming frustrations brought to life as over the top villains. Think lag, overheating, and low refresh rates, all personified with a bit of action movie flair.
We took Acer’s concept and character designs and brought them to life in a short, punchy event video, focusing on Tommy as he appears in an air duct and briefs viewers on the mission ahead. The video was narrative driven but deliberately tongue-in-cheek, keeping things light while still spotlighting how Acer’s tech helps gamers avoid these common pain points.

We handled the full production, complete with homemade tinfoil lined tunnel, carefully matched lighting and wardrobe/make up so Tommy could channel his inner McClane. Green screen work helped us drop Adam into villain mode across multiple scenes, giving each character their own little moment of absurdity.
Behind the scenes, Adam has more costume changes than Madonna whilst Tommy showed true dedication to the role, spending several hours lying prone, clutching a Zippo lighter, nailing his lines while it slowly turned into a hand warmer from hell.
The video was well received at the event, with client feedback “absolute genius.” (Their words, not ours and we’ll absolutely take it.)
