LAPTOP CLUB
Intel / MSI / Lenovo
What do you get when you combine high-end gaming laptops, over-the-top stylised product shots, and an 80’s training montage? Laptop Club.
Commissioned by Intel, this promotional video was created to showcase the power and features of two new gaming laptops, the MSI Sword 16 HX and the Lenovo Legion 9i Gen 9—both powered by Intel Core mobile processors. Our goal wasn’t to pit the laptops against each other, but rather to highlight their specs in a way that was as fun and engaging as it was informative.
The main video premiered just before an Intel sponsored Twitch stream hosted by the Two Angry Gamers, and later found a home on their popular YouTube channel. We also created two 20-second cutdowns optimised for social.

We handled everything from scripting and storyboarding through to production and post. While the client had specific technical points they needed included, we were given the creative freedom to do it in a way that didn’t feel like your typical spec-heavy tech promo. So, we leaned into comedy, with a narrative twist, and peppered in some gratuitous slow-mo product shots complete with dramatic lighting, rock music, and an electronic turntable rig for full laptop-spinning glory.
One of our proudest behind-the-scenes moments? Making it seem like the Lenovo Legion laptop was lifting tiny barbell weights like a heavyweight champ. If that’s not marketing muscle, we don’t know what is.
